Research & Scientific Foundation

We don't manufacture scores. We implement science.

Every instrument in CogniPulse was developed by researchers, validated across thousands of participants, and published in peer-reviewed literature. We are transparent about where our instruments come from, how they are scored, and what the research says they measure.

The HR technology market is full of proprietary engagement indices, culture scores, and wellbeing metrics - numbers generated by algorithms their creators developed, validated by their creators, interpreted through frameworks their creators designed. These scores cannot be independently replicated, benchmarked against external research, or defended scientifically.

CogniPulse is built on a different premise. Every measurement instrument we offer was developed by independent academic researchers, published in peer-reviewed journals, and validated across multiple samples and countries before we touched it. We implement the scoring methodology specified by the instrument authors; not a simplified version designed to fit a product interface.

When you present burnout risk findings to your executive team, the question "how do you know this is real?" deserves a real answer. CogniPulse gives you that answer.

Our Philosophy

Our measurement principles.

Six commitments that distinguish validated science from proprietary scoring.

Only instruments with published validation histories
Scoring methodology specified by instrument authors
Transparent about instrument origins and source institutions
No modifications to suit product design
No proprietary engagement or culture indices
Threshold classifications grounded in published norms
Scientific Disciplines

The research traditions behind the platform.

CogniPulse draws from six interrelated research fields. Each contributes specific instruments and constructs that, together, provide a comprehensive picture of organizational psychology.

Organizational Psychology

The scientific study of human behavior in organizations. Provides the validated instruments at the heart of CogniPulse.

Behavioural Economics

How cognitive biases, heuristics, and emotional states affect organizational decision-making. Informs CogniPulse's framing of decision quality as a measurable organizational variable.

Cognitive Science

The interdisciplinary study of mind and intelligence. Provides the theoretical foundation for understanding attention, memory, and information processing as organizational variables.

Metacognition Research

The study of how individuals monitor, regulate, and evaluate their own cognitive processes. Strongly predictive of learning effectiveness, adaptability, and performance under uncertainty.

Personality Psychology

The Big Five (OCEAN) model - the most robust and widely validated framework for measuring personality across cultures and contexts.

Motivational Psychology

Self-Determination Theory (Ryan & Deci) - one of the most empirically supported theories of human motivation provides the theoretical foundation for the Work Motivation Profiling.
